November Lessons

Students ended the month by participating in memory drills for Halloween Poetry.  Students were much better at this than I expected, most memorizing lines within only a few minutes!  The month of November brings us to examine the work of the actor historian.  Students have watched demonstrations of actors who are hired to work professionally as period historians for Plymouth Plantation.  We will spend some time learning about the history of various pilgrims and Indians, reenacting and answering questions with knowledge, proper vocal inflections and vocabulary of the time.  Students should access scholastic.com/thanksgiving for information and review.
