December Lessons

Students read and respond to poetry and narrative letters in order to appraise a text and to critque a sentence.  Zaner-Bloser cursive penmanship practice is used weekly as a means to review proper mechanics of penmanship and to encourage literary development and critical thinking.  Students utilize red folders in class and daily hand outs for written response lessons.  Students access tweentribune and newslea for current event articles, reading comprehension quizzes and to respond with comments to what they've read.
